Anyone have any recommendations on earpieces/headsets for both crew management and other responders?
Hey Matthew, there are several options for you. All going to be based on mission. But you can get something less expensive, but effective off of planetheadset.com. They have modular setups that can fit any radio, and also can implement a PTT button that you can Velcro to the bottom of the remote so you don’t have to take your hands off sticks.
Then you can check into Eartec, which makes intercom system headsets. You’ll have to have a dedicated radio person to broadcast radio comms, but they work nicely to chat between the team.
Then you have more expensive Sonetics Firecomm system, which is really nice and integrates with your Motorola radios. Those aren’t cheap, but they’re really nice headsets. There are more out there, but those are the headsets I have used in the past that have worked well.
