PRIVACY POLICY

The Law Enforcement Drone Association ("LEDA") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the information you provide. We collect only the information necessary to create and manage your membership, register you for events or training, communicate important updates, and provide member benefits. Information collected may include, but is not limited to, your name, email address, agency or organization, job title, and payment information. Payment information is processed securely by third-party payment processors and is not stored by LEDA.

LEDA is a 501(c)(3) organization run by law enforcement officers, current and former. Training provided by LEDA often contains Law Enforcement Sensitive (LES) information and active incident debriefs involving the use of UAS. In order for us to keep the training relevant and secure, LEDA may reach out to your agency to verify current employment upon your purchase of a membership. If you sign up and it is discovered that you are not an active public safety officer, your membership may be voided. No refunds will be provided.

LEDA will not sell, rent, or broadly disseminate your personal information without your consent. One of LEDA’s goals is to connect members with the most up to date technology and help our members develop solid working relationships with our partners in the UAS industry. For certain LEDA events, LEDA may share attendee names and email addresses with event vendors solely for the purpose of facilitating post-event communication related to the event. If you do not wish to have your information shared with event vendors, you may opt out by emailing LEDA with the statement: “I do not wish to share the information I provide for this event registration.”

LEDA uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. Information is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill operational, legal, or regulatory requirements.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting LEDA. You may also opt out of non-essential communications. This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Continued use of LEDA services constitutes acceptance of any updates. This policy is governed by the laws of the United States.
