MEMBERSHIP FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT
LEDA was created by law enforcement officers who have a wealth of experience in both manned and unmanned aviation to develop a standard of training and best practices in the field. We are growing rapidly and have over 500 LEO agencies worldwide represented.
Whether you have an established UAS program or are just starting up, a LEDA membership provides value to both you and your agency.
LEDA is only open to law enforcement members and we focus our training on law enforcement-related missions. If you're a firefighter/EMS/SAR pilot who actively assists in law enforcement missions please follow the instructions below to request membership.
MEMBERSHIP ONLY ACCESS
A membership with our organization grants you access to our document center, current and future training videos, vehicle build-out photo gallery, member events and webinars, and the ability to earn your LEDA/NIST Flight Skills 1 or Flight Skills 2 certification. LEDA hosts both online and in-person events, including our nationally recognized four-day training conferences with information-rich lectures and scenario-based practical exercises. In addition to our training conferences, we host multiple regional training events throughout the country, catering to the area's needs for UAS training. Webinars are free to LEDA members, but there may be a cost to attend an in-person training event, as we travel to the locations to train with our gear and instructors.
Our document center contains various templates for policies/procedures, warrants, affidavits, logs, and reports. We are regularly updating and adding content as it becomes available. If you have documents that would benefit the LE UAS community, please share them with other members!
The vehicle build-out gallery documents equipment from UAS response vehicles to connectivity setups to help you find a solution for what would work for you. If you have photos of your buildout, a solution, or an outside-the-box piece of equipment that helps in your workflow, feel free to send them to us to add to this valuable resource.

BECOME A LEDA MEMBER!
Sign Up instructions:
To become a LEDA member, click on the "Become a LEDA Member" button below. You will have to sign in or create a LEDA login account for the website. You will be prompted to answer a few questions during this process such as what agency you work for, your position, and your state code. Please use your agency email address if you can. This helps us vet our member applicants to ensure their status in law enforcement.
If you're a firefighter/EMS/SAR pilot who actively assists in law enforcement missions, there is a line to detail your role in LE UAS missions at the bottom of the form. We ask that you write a short explanation of your role and what agency you assist and that will help us approve the request.
