So I have read over the search warrants that other departments are using for drone use. Now with the ones I read it states the drone can be used for up to 12 hours after the execution of the warrant but does the warrant also include use of the drone prior to the execution of the search warrant. The question was brought to me about what language needs to be added to the search warrant in order to deploy the drone(s) ahead of the execution of the warrant. Any advise would be greatly appreciated so I can pass it on to our response team for further warrants.
