Setup Ideas for a Durango?

I had my '16 Charger setup pretty well for patrol and drone work but was just switched over to a '20 Durango yesterday. I looked through the picture page of others vehicles and got some good ideas but this will be a regular patrol vehicle not a dedicated drone rig so I can't take up all the room with just drone stuff.

The whole back behind the passenger area is a blank canvas at the moment. I can design and build just about anything out of wood and have a large format CNC and laser so I can make some pretty cool stuff. I can also 3D print. We are a poor agency so buying cool roll out drawers etc. isn't in the budget right now.

I need to get the inverter moved over installed. I was getting ready to install cooling fans for it in my Charger but I'm hoping with all the room in the Durango I won't need to do that.

Any suggestions and pics or links would be great.

This is what I did for mine. I’m on patrol in the traffic unit full time, and also on the drone and crash team so I had to make something work for to hold all of the things. The department said no to something like the drone responded by truck vault due to cost. All cars are issued a Tuff Tote to put our stuff in, anything else is on us to do.

The drawers have 36” full extension slides (I think 150 lb rating) from Amazon. Left side holds my miscellaneous stuff that I don’t use all the time, evidence collection, bite gloves, riot helmet, etc.

Right drawer has GCPs, landing pads, marking paint, spare cables and cords, flares, and the rest of the normal patrol kit.

Top has the inverter mounted in the right front near the 12v plug until I wire it into the power block under the box. On the top I added some scraps to make stoppers to keep the boxes from sliding around too much.

The plan is to mount a locking tv mount (probably an RV design) and put an old monitor or TV in the back. I also want to add a full width tray in the opening above the drawers to give it a flat workspace to set the MDT, drone, controller, water anything else during deployments.

Unfortunately I didn’t get the measurements quite right so the right drawer didn’t line up and is stuck so I had to “assist” it open. So it’s a work in progress.
