Drone Tracking
I am relatively new to UAS operations. I am currently assigned to the detective bureau and have been given a case in which a person used a drone to video record a female through her bedroom window. My question; is there a way to search drones in a certain area using Remote ID or is there a way to search for drone pilots through the FAA website? Thanks in advance.

Steve is right, unless there is a system in place in the area actively monitoring, getting any sort or past data is going to be null. Then, those drone detection systems have to be able to detect across multiple platforms to include home built. I’m sure whoever this suspect was probably just bought one off the shelf, so if maybe putting up a rudimentary RID detection system in the area of the victim’s house might be prudent. I’d be willing to bet the suspect lives nearby and flew from his house. Probably will be stupid enough to try it again since he hasn’t been caught.
