The Platte County (MO) Sheriff’s Office is offering its “FIRST RESPONDER’S BASIC DRONE FLIGHT SCHOOL”, a free, 40-hour, POST certified course in drone operations. The course, comprised of a 2-day ground school which will prepare participants to successfully pass the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Knowledge test, and 3-days of intensive drone flight training. The flight portion of the class will include basic and tactical flight training, testing in precision flying, and basic photography as well as live scenarios featuring commonly encountered deployment missions. The final scenario will introduce participants to the challenges and requirements of night flying.
