Streaming: All options on the table

We've been doing an extensive amount of research/testing on various streaming methods to meet our needs. We've looked at simple "Zoom" style (still testing) platforms with no data/transmission attached such as ResponderCast for basic stuff and we've gone all the way to submitting budget proposals for one-stop shop Teradek bonding platforms. We're not only wanting to get a feed to people not on scene (easy and cheap), but also deliver low/no latency intel to people on scene (either expensive or tricky). We've previously deployed LANs out of a Bearcat to use local Wi-Fi screen mirroring with an Avata. Surprisingly, it works quite well. However, the basic apps we are using are quite limited and currently only allow one viewer. Additionaly, add in the separate streaming platform for over-watches/pre-op surveillance and you start getting alot of moving parts for one OP and "hodgepodging" various things together. It turns into quite the production, hence attempts to try and consolidate all of that into a simple plug and play system like the Teradek Prism Mobile. However, I'd love to hear what other departments are doing to meet these goals and if there are any workarounds or compromises below Teradek systems as they are quite expensive and difficult to sell to administrations. Feel free to respond on here or reach out to me directly at caleb.watkins@cityofalex.com. Thanks!

In summary we have used Microsoft Teams or Drone Sense. When using TEAMS we have created a live teams page. We start a meeting and share our screen to all. We plug our UAS controller into our laptops via HDMI. We utilize a cheap HDMI capture card and OBS Studio. Share our screen through OBS to Teams and everyone can see it. In regards to the AVATA this is even easier. No HDMI needed just join the teams meeting and share your screen.

A easier option is to just use a program like Drone Sense.
