About the Event

LEDA is shifting our agendas to night operations for this year's regional training event at George Mason University.  We will be highlighting operational safety, considerations for night ops, thermal success, tactical entry and more!  We will also be offering our LEDA/NIST certifications for basic courses 1 and 2.  We will be capping attendance at 70 for this event, so be sure to start working your training requests early and get them in!  We are anticipating a packed class!

HOTEL BLOCK:

We have a hotel block with the TRU by Hilton in Manassas from 8/7-8/10.  We will have late starts each day, which is why we kept the block through the 10th so you can finish the training late on the 9th and sleep and travel out the following day.  If you need to book with this block, please use the link HERE and you can get more information and book directly.  DEADLINE TO BOOK IS 7/7/24, so book earlier than later!

AGENDA:

The agena for this event can be found HERE in PDF form.  It is subject to change based upon logistics, but will most likely remain intact.

LEDA/NIST PROCTOR COURSE ADD-ON:

LEDA is rolling out a pilot program to train proctors to run the LEDA certifications for Flight Skills 1 and Flight Skills 2 as an ADD-ON the morning of day 1 (time - 0900 hours to 1200 hours) of this training.  We will allow up to 10 people to reach out and sign up to become a proctor, which will allow them to run the course, test, and certify pilots to the LEDA Standard based upon the NIST standardized testing methods.  Proctors will learn how to effectively setup and run the courses of flight as well as score the results and hand out LEDA certificates and patches.  Upon completion of this proctor class, you will be permitted to run the course for other law enforcement pilots and issue out LEDA certificates and patches upon obtaining a passing grade.  **PRE-REQUISITE** - Prospective Proctors will need to show they have previously completed the FS1 and FS2 courses to the LEDA prescribed standard within the last 6 months, or be able to complete both FS1 and FS2 courses during the DC regional Training to complete the proctor certification.

Seating for this proctor course is limited to 10 students only and is an additional cost of $175 per student to sign up.  If you would like to register, please add the "LEDA/NIST PROCTOR ADD"  ticket to your Standard Registration purchase and register for the class in the checkout page.  If you have already registered for the regional training event, but would like to add this course, please purchase the "LEDA/NIST PROCTOR ADD" ticket individually and you can register for the course in that window.  We can also invoice you for the both the training event and Proctor course, please let us know what works best for your accounting departments.
